Our Mission

The Frederica Academy Parent Association’s mission is to enhance and enrich school life for students and families. We partner with faculty and staff to support programming that elevates the student experience, helps further the goals and vision of the school and offers support to teachers and administrators. We strengthen bonds among FA families by facilitating communication and providing parent education and social opportunities for all our members. We promote and coordinate volunteerism. We strive to always foster a spirit of welcome, inclusion and appreciation among our entire school community.

PARENT ASSOCIATION MEETING FEATURING LAURA NEVINS

Wednesday, April 21, at 8:15 a.m., in Hamilton Hall

 

If you don’t have a student that is the last throes of college visits and applications, it’s easy to miss the latest information. We have invited Laura Nevins, Assistant Head of Upper School and Director of College Placement, to come and speak to us because as she says, "You may not be thinking about college yet, but we are." She will share the successes of this year's graduating class, what's changing in the college admission landscape, how FA continues to be flexible among changing demands for college readiness, and what parents of younger kids need to know. We’re really excited to bring this topic to parents of all ages, so please join us! 

 

Our meeting will kick-off with a short State of the School that will cover updates on fundraising, internal projects, and information regarding the campus master plan. Please don’t miss it! If you are unable to attend in person, a livestream option is available.

RECYCLED UNIFORM SALE

Wednesday, April 28, from 7:45 - 9:00 a.m., in the Gym Lobby

 

Do you need some bigger uniforms to get these growing kids through the end of the year or ready to stock up for next year? If so, we’re here to help with our spring Recycled Uniform Sale! We will be accepting checks, cash, or charges on family accounts. As you spring clean your closets, please remember to donate outgrown uniform pieces at any time at the collection bin located outside of the Lower School hall. We will also have a collection bin on site for uniform items to be donated before shopping. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
