Large Group Gatherings
Definitions
In Lower School, a large group gathering is any gathering where more than one grade level is present. For Middle and Upper School, it is a group larger than 16 students.
Lower School
A large group gathering will be classified as any gathering where more than one grade level is present. An example of these gatherings would be Morning Meeting. Morning Meeting will be prerecorded and streamed through each individual classroom’s projector.
Gatherings that are larger than one grade level, or include parents such as Parent Night or Pre-K or Kindergarten programs, will be held outside in a tented area or modified to a digital platform for live streaming.
Middle School
Group meetings larger than 16 should meet OUTSIDE in a tent or other area (e.g. football bleachers) or moved to a livestream/ Zoom / Google Hangout platform. This includes class meetings, assemblies, and parent nights.
Student assemblies will be held outside on the football bleachers. In inclement weather situations, the assembly will be live streamed and the students will report to their Advisor’s classroom for viewing.
Gold Ribbon Week (Spirit Week) will be revised to maintain social distancing. Student Council will set the protocol for the week.
Upper School
Group meetings larger than 16 should meet OUTSIDE in a tent area or moved to a livestream/ Zoom/ Google Hangout platform. This includes college nights, class meetings, assemblies, and parent nights.
Upper School “assembly” will now be hosted by Student Council. Student Council leaders will be responsible for live streaming announcements on Wednesdays each week. Advisory will move to Mondays. Advisors will read announcements to students on Mondays.
Homecoming Week activities will be done during advisory time, as these groups will be small in size. Grades may still compete/dress up/engage in activities within their advisory.
