Welcome to Frederica Academy!
Founded in 1969 by a group of concerned parents committed to creating an independent college preparatory school, the Academy continues to be a place for individual students to forge their own path of discovery, passion, and success. My Frederica is where scholar-athletes are equally honored for their academic success, character, and passion for service. It is a place of shared values such as honor, integrity, commitment, faith, service, and appreciation of others. It is a place where individuals grow beyond the classroom, develop strengths, discover passions, and create their own success story while participating, not spectating. It is a supportive environment with low student-teacher ratios where students are challenged to new heights and it is a place where it is safe to fall short, learn, and try again.
It is a school that is growing, creating programs, and fostering new opportunities for our students. It is a network of learners who know the responsibilities that come with being a part of something larger than self and who desire to impact the world now, in college, and beyond.
It is a place where my wife, Susan, and I know our own three sons will be appreciated as individuals, grounded in their strengths, and prepared to make their mark in the world.
Beyond our college placement success and the impressive athletic, art, and service opportunities you’ll find an indelible spirit of camaraderie where you too can write your own Frederica story. Please make plans to visit our beautiful island campus and interact with our students and faculty. I look forward to sharing Frederica Academy with you.
Sincerely,
Greg Griffeth |
