Welcome to Frederica Academy! We are pleased that you are interested in learning more about our school for your children. Our admission process is designed to help parents determine if Frederica Academy will meet the needs of their children and to make sure that attending Frederica will be a successful and rewarding experience for them. As you enter this process you will discover that Frederica is a challenging yet nurturing school for PK-12.
The Frederica Academy admission process varies with the grade to which the application is made. Please see "Application Process".
In general, the child's performance, on aptitude and/or achievement measures, is compared with the performance of Frederica students. Records from previous schools are weighed and observations from the child's classroom visit are carefully considered. The Admission Committee thoughtfully reviews the information acquired for each candidate, to reach a decision. The committee endeavors to make its decision in the best interest of each student.
As Frederica Academy continues to be a family school, priority for available places is given to qualified siblings and children of alumni. When vacancies in each grade have been filled, candidates will be placed in a waiting pool and accepted as openings occur.
Parents are welcome to inquire about a Frederica education at any time during the school year. The first step is to notify us of your interest in Frederica Academy. You may call the Office of Admission and we will send you an admissions packet. You may also request a financial aid application package.
Should you have any questions about our school or admission, please do not hesitate to call our office (912) 638.9981 or email
