 | Welcome from the Head of School Welcome to the Frederica Academy website!
Please explore all aspects of this special school on an island in Southeast Georgia. As you navigate, you will garner a sense of community characterized by a supportive partnership among students, teachers and parents. Each boy and girl is encouraged to maximize his or her potential as they develop in mind, body and spirit.
In the classroom, all students from 4-18 years of age are challenged academically, skills are developed and curiosity is cultivated. Preparation for college is thorough as evidenced by our accomplished and confident students, all of whom attend very fine universities and colleges across the country. Feel free to explore our College Matriculation List. Each student is prepared to lead and to make a positive difference in their global future.
As one clicks through the website, wanders across the fields, or strolls the halls, it is apparent that this strong Honor Code school is a safe and supportive environment where a student may try new ventures into the arts or athletics. The uniqueness of each boy and girl is celebrated.
In a culture of learning, we cherish our environment, we joyfully serve others, we laugh heartily and appreciate and encourage each other.
Frederica Academy is located on beautiful St. Simons Island and is the only National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) school between Savannah and Jacksonville. Visit our campus and see the difference an independent school can make.
