Frederica Academy uses the Accelerated Reader program as a tool to motivate students to read and encourage them to become life-long readers. Along with periodic incentives in the classroom, each year the Library Media Center likes to reward students at the end of the school year who have demonstrated their love of reading by attaining a "total year" goal set in conjunction with the lower school faculty. This goal must be reached by 4:00 pm May 10, 2013. The AR Cafe will be during normal lunch times (date TBA).
This year the goals for each grade are:
1st Grade 30 points
2nd Grade 50 points
3rd Grade 75 points
4th & 5th Grade 100 points
Many thanks to the Parent Council for their generous gift of Accelerated Reader Enterprise to the Frederica Academy Library. This upgraded program is an annual subscription that gives us access to every AR test that is available. We no longer have to purchase individual tests for the books that on our shelves. In other words, if there is an AR test written for the book, then we have it. For your convenience, please use the following link to find out if there are tests for a particular book.
