Middle School Science Fair Winners (2/6/12)
The students collaborated by participating in teams of two. All nine pairs of students did an outstanding job developing and presenting their projects. Emily Harrison and Ella Slade received the Pinova Lipscomb Environmental Award; and Rayna Daley and Clare Seymour received the Altamaha Riverkeeper Award. Alex Dunn and Nina Poulakis received several honors including: First Place in Mathematics, First Place in the Earth and Physical Science category, First Place in the Junior Team Project Division and Second Place in the Overall Science Fair competition. Because of their achievements, Alex and Nina advance to compete at the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair at The University of Georgia in late March. Nancy Rivers received a teacher award in recognition of Frederica Academy having the most Junior Level projects at the Coastal College of Georgia event.
