The Frederica Academy Advisory Program provides the structure to empower students to be intellectually curious, globally responsible, make ethical decisions and contribute to the community.
Program Overview
At Frederica Academy, our advisory program has been designed to encourage awareness of self, others and the world, allowing our students to learn more about themselves and each other, and enrich the atmosphere of trust and support among teachers and students. The program creates a small, personalized school environment in which every student is known well by their advisor. Each student in grades 6-12 belongs to an advisory group of 8-10 students and one faculty advisor. Each advisory group meets twice a month to discuss issues that focus on the personal and social growth of our students, as well as promote a personal code of ethics. Faculty advisors are advocate for the students in their groups, and serve as added liaisons between home and school.
