| back | | Parent Education Session on Thursday, January 26 | | | Frederica Dads are invited to bring their daughters or sons to school for "Donuts with Dad" in Hamilton Hall on Thursday, January 26, at 7:30 a.m. Frederica Moms are welcome to join just prior to all of the students departing in order to make it to their Homeroom commitment. At 8:00 a.m., ALL parents are invited to participate in the next Parent Education Session. David Yarborough, a Frederica parent and the Pastor at St. Simons Community Church, will lead a program entitled, "Consuming Kids." David will offer guidance to parents raising children in today's consumer-oriented culture and will explore questions such as: "Are your children learning to be responsible consumers in this high-tech, fast-paced world ... or are they being consumed by it? How do we help our children navigate through the media saturated culture of sexuality, materialism, perfectionism, entitlement and instant gratification?" | | back | |
