DAR American History Essay Awards Ceremony

The Fort Frederica Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will honor several Frederica students at an awards ceremony that will take place in the Margaret Britt Room at Saint Simons Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The following students will be recognized as winners of the 2011 American History Essay Competition: Erik Svenson (1st place – Sixth Grade); John Mitchell Brock (3rd place – Sixth Grade); Alex Dunn (1st place – Seventh Grade); Nina Poulakis (3rd place – Seventh Grade); Christian Sullivan (1st place – Eighth Grade); Manning Mercer (2nd Place – Eighth Grade); Simms O’Quinn (3rd place – Eighth Grade); Emory Larkin (1st place – Upper School); Madison Myers (2nd place – Upper School); and Landon Barrow (3rd place – Upper School). As first-place winners, Erik, Alex, Christian and Emory will read their essays during the ceremony.
