Ellen E. Fleming holds a BA in history from George Washington University and pursued other higher education at the University of Virginia and Georgia State University. In her 42 years as an educator, administrator and headmaster she worked at The Westminister Schools in Atlanta, GA, The Ellis School in Pittsburgh, PA and Frederica Academy, St. Simons Island, GA. Arriving at Frederica Academy in June 2004, she embraced the excellence found in all aspects of the school. Miss Fleming’s educational career has been driven by her strong sense of community and love for learning, in partnership with her students, faculty, and parents. Upon her retirement in 2011, Miss Fleming became an active community volunteer in Glynn County.
